well a few actually......so i'm sitting in the we'redumb hall today, and the core of the topic is recognizing gods qualities through jesus actions and also how jesus spent eons of time with god learning what his father does.
i gotta question: what purpose does that serve?
is god preparing jesus to do something that he himself is tired of or is no longer able to do?

I am amazed that my folks who converted to Jehovahdoom in the early 70's and who are now fast approaching an old age ,(that I'm sure they never expected to reach before Armageddon), are still dutiffully going to ASSemblies and spending a small fortune on more craptower literature like that stuff in the video . . . amazing.
the best thing for me..... my son stopped over and he realized he needs to buy a home....so we quickly did a run on the internet in our neighborhood and he found a jewel.. whether he gets it or not....it was fun for both my husband and myself to go see, help him ask questions and give him the ok.. it's probably just a dream, but reminded us of our younger days.. how was your day?

here's another update on my brother in law:.
my sister and b-i-l went to the cancer center in toronto earlier this week to see about getting the stemcell transplant for his disease.
it was actually an encouraging visit as the oncologist there said that they did not feel his condition had progressed into the acute myloid leukemia yet and that he had longer---up to 2 years---than what his local oncologist had said.

I remember we read through a few book study books, but only recall clearly the Truth That Leads To Eternal Life. And thanks for the reminder about the Book Of Bible Stories for kids; I think I might have read it all the way through, or at least looked at all of the pictures for endless hours. I think I read the Youth book on getting the most out of masturbation, too.

Well, it's a GOOD decision to get it out and talk about it. I hope it helps you to accept and grow. 13 years sounds like a long time, but some things can seem like yesterday. I hope you feel okay with forgiving yourself and her someday.
inspired by another thread.. i was baptized at 12 years old.
i had a cousin, two years older than me, who was prettier, more outgoing and more popular in the hall than i was.
i couldn't beat her at any of that stuff, but i figured i could be a better jw than she was.
It was a totally 13-year-old's thing to do - to please god and family and congregation in exchange for their adulation.
After all, the only other ways to get such adulation was by cleaning house or becoming a martyr/pioneer, which I also did, but only once, and that was enough.
It didn't take long for me to figure out that buying love wasn't to my liking.
how long does it take for someone to recover from that kind of fall?.
Reading all this makes me cringe. Leprechaun and tracman! I'm staying off the roof unless it's got a sturdy bannister!
